Italiano and The Pink Floyd Experience

Saturday 22 May, 2010 – Sydney, Australia

Saturday involved a mass sleep in. It was great. I woke up at about 10am and took my time getting ready, so I wasn’t feeling gross like the day before – woke up at 3.30am, so was feeling a bit grotty by bedtime. Headed out at around lunch time and had a wander through China Town and then hit Paddy’s markets where I managed not to spend too much money – bought a wee dress for $15 and a nice top for work – $12.

Went for another wee look around town before heading back to the hotel to relax for the rest of the afternoon before going to Casa di Nico for dinner.
Casa di Nico is an Italian restaurant right on Darling Harbour. It has a reeeeally nice feel (and smells great) and is slightly posh. I couldn’t resist ordering my fav – spag bol – and it was delicious. From Casa di Nico, we got a taxi to Enmore Theatre, where the Pink Floyd Experience were to play

Opera House

A taxi was surprisingly cheap – 20 odd minutes cost about $12.50 which is very very good. The concert was colourful, disturbing, amazing, and pleasing as always. The saxophonist made me drool as usual. We went back stage to have a drink with the band after the show (my friend knows the guitarist).

It was about 11.30pm by the time we taxi’d back to Vibe, which wasn’t fun considering we had to be up bright and early for our flight home. I quickly shoved everything in my bags and jumped into my bed. Dead to the world.
